Volunteers to plant trees

Volunteers are needed to plant 60 trees in Arlington from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2. The starting location will be at Frenzel Park.

Thanks in part to the DNR Community Forestry Grant, funds were made available to purchase 60 bare root trees to plant in local city parks and boulevards.

The Tree Conservation Group and Tree Trust will mark out the locations and pre-dig the holes. Volunteers are needed to plant and water the trees.

To ensure there are ample planting and watering supplies, volunteers are encouraged to contact the Arlington City Office at 507-964-2378 or e-mail  cityhall@arlingtonmn.com.
